Cents Announces Revolutionary Hardware Release for Laundromats

NEW YORK | August 1, 2022 -- Cents, the leading venture-backed technology company revolutionizing the way laundromats and dry cleaners grow, manage, and understand their business, has launched Cents Connect, a suite of hardware products that creates the most affordable, accessible, and fully-integrated payments solution. These three new hardware devices seamlessly communicate with Cents’ software to create the most integrated laundry business experience in the industry.

Cents Connect enables any laundry business owner to track all forms of revenue (self-serve, full-service, PUD, commercial, etc.), as well as their machine insights and utilzation. For the first time, operators are now empowered to view and manage every aspect of their business within a single solution to improve efficiencies, streamline operations, and grow revenue.

“I was strictly coin-operated for years before Cents. Other solutions were always too expensive and did not provide me the tools I needed to run my business as efficiently as possible,” said Brad Guerra of the Laundry Depot in Petaluma, CA, “Adding Cents has enabled me to create an exceptional and modern experience for my customers, and working with their team has made my transition fast, easy, and successful.”

“For decades, laundromat owners have been piecing together different processes, systems, operations, and payment solutions to try and improve their customer experience and the way they do business,” said Alexander Jekowsky, co-founder and CEO of Cents, “We built Cents Connect to integrate all those pieces and provide a true all-in-one platform to manage every element of a laundry business. No matter the services you offer, machines you buy, or location you service, Cents is built to be your partner today and for the future.”

Cents Connect is made up of three products: Penny, Pulse, and Pay.

  • Penny: Laundromat owners can process credit and debit cards, store value cards, and phone payments through a customer-facing card reader installed on laundry machines. This enables owners to have full machine control to set pricing, discounts, remote starts, process and track payments, and much more.

  • Pulse: This lightweight and easy-to-install device sits inside of laundry machines and has all the functionality of the Penny without card acceptance. The Pulse accepts mobile payment via QR codes and provides owners with detailed insights directly to the Cents business management dashboard.

  • Pay: This stored value card kiosk helps laundromats collect machine payments in one centralized location. It gives owners the opportunity to offer loyalty cards that can be loaded safely via cash or card, and provides sales reporting and analytics directly to the Cents dashboard.

Penny, Pulse, and Pay all connect to Cents in-store operating system and business manager. Owners must be Cents customers to take advantage of the new hardware. To learn more about Cents Connect and Cents business management system, visit trycents.com/solutions/cents-connect.
