For February’s #dimeofthemonth, we are excited to spotlight Allie Kahn, one of our amazing Customer Success Managers! Allie is best known for overseeing the relationship with our enterprise accounts, her sneakily smart humor and natural ability to identify and tackle problems. We are so lucky to have her on board!
Q. What gets you out of bed every morning?
My dog—no contest. The moment she’s ready to start the day, she plops herself right on my head for morning snuggles. From there it’s our daily walks together, which is honestly my favorite way to ease into the day. There’s nothing better than starting the morning with fresh air, movement, and my Aussie by my side.
Q. What makes Cents different from other places you’ve worked?
The culture—hands down. I know everyone says that about their company, but at Cents it’s genuinely true. I’m incredibly proud of the people I work with and feel lucky to call many of my coworkers close friends. There’s a real effort to create an inclusive, supportive environment where people are encouraged to do their best work and grow. It’s the kind of place where you feel motivated, trusted, and excited to show up every day.
Q. What has your career path looked like?
I started my career in customer experience, then moved into data analytics and operations before landing at Cents as a Customer Success Manager. Having a strong foundation in both customer experience and data has been key for me—it allows me to build meaningful relationships with operators while also helping them make smarter, more informed decisions to grow their businesses.
Q. What is your proudest career moment and why?
I’m most proud of my growth at Cents overall. I’ve become much more of a go-getter, and that’s largely because of the environment here. I feel empowered to take initiative, speak up, and take on projects outside of my core scope. That autonomy has helped me grow into a more well-rounded employee with a broader skill set—and a lot more confidence.
Q. What is your secret to making progress each day?
Consistency over perfection. I focus on small wins, staying curious, and learning from whatever the day throws at me—good or bad. Progress adds up when you keep showing up and stay open to feedback.
Q. A typical weekend for me is…
A morning trail run followed by coffee and a park trip with my dog — and there’s always a breakfast taco somewhere in there (Austin rules). Then it’s either a dip in Barton Springs or a day of wakesurfing on the lake. Nights usually revolve around good food and friends and if there’s a live show in town, you’ll probably find me there. I love live music and Austin is chock full of it.
Q. If you could switch your job with anyone else within Cents, whose job would you want?
Anyone on the marketing team. I’ve always had a strong creative side, and for a long time I thought my career would head more in that direction. I’d love the chance to use those creative skills—designing, storytelling, and building brand—to help bring Cents to life in new ways.
Q. Tell us one thing people don’t know about you.
I’m an avid runner and deeply involved in the Austin running community. I’m a pacer in a local run club, a member of several others, and have built a really large network of friends through running. Recently, I completed my first Hood to Coast relay—196 miles over two days, running in shifts from the top of Mount Hood to the Pacific Ocean, through mountains, highways, and stretches of night, sleeping in vans between legs. Out of over 1,200 teams, we finished 56th overall in under 25 hours. It was an incredible challenge, and I’m already excited for year two!
Q. What advice do you have for prospective Cents candidates?
Be yourself. The magic of Cents is that everyone here brings something unique to the table, and that individuality is truly valued.
Q. What Guiding Principle of Cents do you identify with most?
Run Through Walls. As a CSM, no two days look the same, and obstacles are part of the job. I treat challenges as learning opportunities—each one makes me better prepared for the next. Failure isn’t something to avoid; it’s a key ingredient in long-term success.
Q. Motto or personal mantra / words to live by?
“Do cool things with good people.”
I’m intentional about the people I keep close. The right people challenge me, support me, and make everything more meaningful—whether we’re working toward a goal or just enjoying the moment.
Q. What advice would you give to your younger self?
You don’t have to be perfect to be impactful. Focus on showing up, learning, and building strong relationships — the rest will follow.
