Feature Flashback: Invoicing & Pricing

Welcome back to Feature Flashbacks, our webinar series where we surface the “hidden gems” in Cents that can make day-to-day operations smoother, faster, and more profitable. In this session, Sivan (Director of Product Ops) walked through a handful of lesser-known tools and recent updates designed to help operators tighten up workflows, level up commercial programs, and save teams serious time at the counter.

If you missed our last Feature Flashback on Store Closures, a simple but powerful tool for keeping customers informed during planned downtime, you can catch up here. Now, let's dive into what we covered this time around.

Key takeaways centered on a few big areas:

First, we revisited Pricing Tiers (Pricing Schedules): a powerful way to tailor pricing for specific customer segments like commercial, delivery, and memberships. A major improvement highlighted was the ability to set a service fee at the commercial pricing tier level, so operators can apply (or remove) fees for commercial customers independently from retail.

Next up: Invoicing upgrades rolling out broadly soon, including a new mobile-friendly grid view, the ability to invoice active orders (accrual-style) and add product orders to invoices, plus more flexible payment terms like Net 45 and custom due dates. The team also covered the improved ability to edit invoices before payment, preview the customer payment experience (including ACH via Plaid/Stripe with fees capped), and for multi-store operators, route invoice payments to the right store bank account.

From there, Sivan spotlighted a long-running beta feature: Product Bundles, which lets you group multiple retail items into a single “starter kit” or promo bundle—great for upsells, faster checkout, and easy POS selection with images. The session also covered opt-in operational tools that can be enabled via your CSM, including Turnaround Time by Service (with processing schedules + cutoff times to set clearer due dates and delivery timing), Delinquent Orders (allowing return delivery even if payment fails, for operators who want that flexibility), and Bulk Payments, which lets customers pay multiple open orders in one lump sum—reducing repetitive transactions and speeding up the pickup flow.

The Takeaways

If there’s one big takeaway from this Feature Flashbacks session, it’s that small configuration changes in Cents can unlock major efficiency, especially for teams managing commercial customers, invoicing, and busy front counters.

Whether you’re refining pricing with tier-level service fees, streamlining billing with the new invoicing workflow, or saving time with bulk payments and smarter turnaround settings, these tools are designed to help you run more consistently and with less manual work. Want to explore any of these features for your business? Reach out to your CSM to see what’s available, get enabled where needed, and make sure your team is set up to use them confidently.
