For July's #dimeofthemonth, we are excited to spotlight our Product Manager, Saqib Bedi! Saqib has been a pillar of the product organization for over four year at Cents and his engineering background gives him a rare edge as a PM. He speaks the language of the engineers he works with, enabling deeper collaboration and products that truly resonate. Cool under pressure and relentlessly data-driven, he brings clarity to complexity and is always willing to get in front of customers and Customer Success Managers to explain not just the how, but the why.
Q. What gets you out of bed every morning?
My family! Sometimes literally, my kids are waking me up.
Q. What makes Cents different from other places you’ve worked?
I’ve worked with the same core group for years now, it’s rare to see so many stick around for so long.
Q. What has your career path looked like?
I started as an engineer, then got the chance to do product and work on something I was building. That started my product management career where I’ve been ever since.
Q. What advice would you give to your younger self?
Plan less and do more.
Q. What is your secret to making progress each day?

I try to make some kind of measurable go up every day. A workout, a few chapters in a book, anything where I can visibly see progress.
Q. If you could switch your job with anyone else within Cents, whose job would you want?
Every now and then I get the itch to code again, so probably one of our engineers. .png?width=287&height=287&name=Saqib_DOTM%20(4).png)
Q. Tell us one thing people don't know about you.
I used to play online poker for a living.
Q. Motto or personal mantra/words to live by?
Strong opinions, loosely held. Don’t be afraid to have a point of view, and don’t be afraid to change it either!
Q. What advice do you have for prospective Cents candidates?

Always be ready to learn! I’ve been here over four years and still learning new things every day from our team and operators. The world of small business and garment care is endless!
